How do we test for osteoporosis?
Sun Chiropractic utilizes Manitoba’s first and only MetriScan Bone Density System to test for Osteoporosis. The MetriScan is a digital x-ray scanner that performs Radiographic Absorptiometry to measure bone density.

The MetriScan provides a graphed T-Score and a Z-Score. These scores are the measurements utilized to see if you have osteoporosis.

How long does the test take?
The x-ray takes 1 second. The computer then analyzes the bone density and graphs your results which take about 8 minutes.

 How long does it take to get results?
The results are provided immediately.

 What is the cost of the test?
Your first bone density test is $65.00 which includes the x-ray, results and information portfolio.Your subsequent bone density tests (which are usually 1 to 3 years later) that are used for comparison and to check progress are $40.00.
